ABOUT
JUNGLE JADE is upfront and personal. Crossing paths as fresh arrivals in Vienna, singer-songwriter Yelvilaa and multi-instrumentalist Shari formed the alternative-pop project as a way to process their experiences of creating roots in a new place. Their atmospheric sound and cinematic storytelling takes listeners on a transformative journey.
Since their first release in 2021 JUNGLE JADE has established a passionate community through their immersive live shows which include POPFEST Wien, wellenklaenge, lunz am see, WAVES Vienna, Kultursommer Wien and more. Radio FM4 named them Afro-Austrian Newcomer in 2023 and they have also appeared or been heard on Oeticket, Radio FM4, Radio Ö1, mica, Res.Radio, and Sofar Sounds amongst other platforms.
With their new EP "Nothing to Lose", JUNGLE JADE dives into themes of love, regeneration, and the borders between self and other. Through song and performance, they share a reminder that following intuition is worth the risk. JUNGLE JADE invites those who are willing, to embark on this journey with them and - just maybe - discover something new on the other side.
